The Hangover Part II Review
This is the first of possibly many summer movie reviews. I'll try to keep it as spoiler free as possible.
The whole gang is up to their old antics (almost exactly) once again.
I'd be lying if I said that there was anything too original or groundbreaking about this film, as the plot is the same as the first one for the most part. With that aside, the movie is still hilarious and there are still many memorable scenes and one-liners (Though not as many as the first film). It's definitely worth seeing for anyone who's a big fan of The Hangover or just looking for a good R-Rated comedy.
I haven't seen Part 2 yet, mostly because of the terrible reviews by the critics. But I loved the original. I think it is very strange that the critics have it at 35% on Rotten Tomatoes, but the audience has it at 94%. WTF? Has there ever been that large of a descrepancy.
Depends what you want from a movie. This is a bit of a laugh with a few mates, but fine cinema it is not. It's an obvious cash-in on the original Hangover so of course the critics will hang it out to dry!
Everyone is hating on it, I thought it was still pretty funny. sure it's not as good as the first but it is pretty funny compared to many of the other comedy movies recently.
Gotta love Galafianakis! If you like him, you should watch "Between two ferns", it's a web show where he interviews people like Steve Carrell or Charlize Theron.
Idk if I should watch it or not. Seems like just another overrated comedy
ReplyDeleteI like the song but haven't seen the movie yet, I hear it's just the same movie again. i'll wait til DVD.
